He has experience with both scientific and legislative affairs and his expertise has been instrumental in the success of the Seattle Sperm Bank and in establishing the European Sperm Bank, which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. |
 | Susanne Timshel, M.D. Geneticist Dr. Susanne Timshel is instrumental to our success. Her background as a geneticist and her review of every donor’s detailed family medical history ensures the highest degree of safety. We believe strongly that these thorough steps are essential. |
 | Jeff Olliffe, M.D. Medical Director Dr. Jeff Olliffe conducts the initial and follow-up exams, and works with our geneticist to approve the donors into our program. He is a Member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Washington State Medical Society, and the King County Medical Society. Dr. Olliffe affiliates with the Swedish Medical system and is a precept/instructor at the University of Washington Department of Family Medicine. |
 | Gary Olsem, Managing Director Gary works closely with the Medical Directors and manages lab operations. His responsibilities include monitoring donors as they move through the application process, ensuring the quality of both applicants and their specimens. Gary came to SSB from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, in Seattle, with an extensive quality control and specimen management background. |
 | Kristina Jensen, Donor Coordinator and Client Services Kristina is the main contact for the donors, handling the scheduling of their exams and genetic interviews, and answers any of their inquiries. Kristina is also an important member of our Client Services team. Clients love talking to her because Kristina knows the donors so well and can help them choose the right donor for their family. Kristina is also an expert phlebotomist. |
