• Dedicated Patient Service – We offer a personalized customer service experience. This includes free photo matching, free personalized assistance with donor selection, and free genetic consultations. We know our donors! Every patient has the opportunity to speak with someone who interacts with the donor on a regular basis.
• Vial Quality – We receive a tremendous amount of positive feedback from clinics and labs who see our vials on a regular basis. Our lab staff pride themselves on creating the highest quality vials. We receive complaint forms on less than 0.1% of vials distributed.
• Advanced Genetic Testing – Seattle Sperm Bank was the very first sperm bank to adopt expanded carrier screening in 2015. Donors in our program undergo rigorous testing, including a comprehensive gene panel that screens for more than 500 genetic conditions. We are also the only donor gamete bank in the U.S. to test donors for adult-onset genetic conditions.
• Family Slots – A Family Slot permits individuals in the U.S. to purchase vials from a specific donor, and each slot grants access to buy that specific donor’s available vials now and in the future. Each donor has a maximum of 25 slots available in the U.S.
• Donor Counseling – Our consultation helps donor applicants understand the full implications of being a donor and the possibility of future contact with offspring.
• Criminal Background Checks and Donor Records Verification – We use a third-party criminal background check company to research all donor applicants. We also verify their educational transcripts.
• Family Planning & Sibling Storage – We offer programs that are specifically designed to help patients reach their family goals, whether it is a single child or planning for future siblings.
• Accreditations – We are accredited and/or licensed by the following: FDA, CLIA, New York State, State of Maryland, State of Colorado, and State of California.
